Shade structures in the outdoor areas and swimming pools of Hotel W, located in Albufeira. This hotel has more than 134 rooms, all facing west and boasting spacious balconies. An exclusive space in harmony with the iconic cliffs of southern Portugal, embracing the scenery sculpted by the Algarve coast.

An architecture of place: Kindergarten of Redbridge International School, Campo de Ourique. In the heart of the urban fabric of the Campo de Ourique neighborhood, the Redbridge International School includes the South Pavilion, for nursery and teachers' facilities, which stands out for its "starry", curvilinear shape. Giving the floor to the authors, the ARX studio: "The concave and organic shapes of its facades result from the location of some large trees, as well as some now planted, in the search for defining an environment of symbiosis between building and nature. Note the authors' observation about the use of wood in this construction: "wood was chosen right at the beginning of the work, as the main structural material and interior finishes of the building, given its inherent message, of pedagogical sense, for being a sustainable material in its impact on nature, for the warm and welcoming atmosphere it allows, and also because of the speed of construction that it makes possible – we had a year to think and build this work".

Conceived and built for FIL ( Lisbon International Fair), in a record time of 30 days, from design and procurement, to prefabrication and assembly. It arises from a need for temporary expansion, but despite this it has become a long-term construction, the result of the successful integration with the rest of the venue. It is the only wooden construction at FIL, an integrated and harmonious counterpoint with the surroundings entirely built in steel and reinforced concrete. The pavilion of innovation grows among the other constructions with a deconstructivist crease with its totally asymmetrical geometry. The combination of these factors accentuates one of the strongest particularities of the pavilion: an outstanding acoustic comfort taking into account its scale and use in large events.
